Falling into You는 1996년 3월 11일에 발매된 셀린 디옹의 네 번째 영어 스튜디오 앨범이다. 상업적으로 큰 성공을 거두었고, 그래미 올해의 앨범상을 포함해 여러 상을 휩쓸었으며 전 세계적으로 3200만 장[1]이 팔린 앨범이다. 이 앨범으로 인해 그녀의 인기는 절정에 달하고 음악적으로도 한층 더 발전한 모습을 보여 주었다.또한 이 앨범과 다음 앨범 Let's Talk About Love[2][3]그리고 My Heart Will Go On의 초대박으로 90년대 초중반을 지배했던 휘트니 휴스턴, 머라이어 캐리 두 디바를 제치고 90년대말 부터는 그녀가 최전성기를 누리게 된다.[4][5]

1995년 후지TV에서 방영됐던 일본 드라마 '코이비토요(My Dear Lover)'의 주제곡으로, 1995년 10월 일본에서 싱글 발매되어 150만장이 팔렸으며, 오리콘 싱글 차트 1위에 오르는 등 대히트했다.[7]
이 곡은 지역별로 다르긴 해도 셀린 디온의 세 정규 앨범에 연달아 수록되었는데, 먼저 일본에서 3집인 'The Color of My Love'의 재발매판에 추가 수록되었고, 이후 4집 'Falling into You'의 아시아판 보너스 트랙으로 수록된다. 이어 5집 'Let's Talk About Love'의 북미/남미 버전에 수록되었으며, 이 앨범의 세번째 싱글[8]로 발매되어 빌보드 어덜트 컨템포러리 차트 1위에 오르는 등 일본 뿐만 아니라 해외에서도 많은 사랑을 받았다. 또한 셀린이 1995년을 시작으로 라이브에서 가장 많이 선보이는 곡이기도 하다. 이 곡의 특징으로는 셀린의 곡 중에서도 난이도가 극한으로 높기로 유명하다.[9]셀린이 1997년 멤피스에서 라이브에서 선사한 것을 보면 알수있듯이 클라이맥스 부분이다. 스튜디오에선 고음을 1분이상 유지하지만 셀린도 멤피스 라이브를 포함한 모든 라이브에선 이 고음을 30초 이내로밖에 유지 안한다.
