On paper, “BTBT” edges towards prosaic but there’s an otherworldly vastness to this song, an atmosphere of cultivated emptiness mirrored by the video’s sprawling futuristic city. In his internal circle of heartache to hope, “BTBT” is B.I’s prayer, the vocals dreamlike and echoing, a trap snare ticking like a jittery metronome and the bass compressed to shiver under the skin. It’s juxtaposed with a chorus that firmly pulls you in with a fleeting, flickering warmth. The effect is addictive yet soothing, making it easy to fall into “BTBT” and unwittingly stay forevermore, cocooned in a hypnotic loop.

- Soulja Boy와의 협업 프로젝트로, 콜라보 확정 이후 힙합엘이와 힙합 갤러리 등지에서 꽤 이슈가 되었었다. 그러나 앨범 발매 직후, 호불호가 갈리는 결과물로서 혹평을 받았으나,[5] 현재는 이러한 평은 대부분 사라지고 수작 중 하나라고 평가받고 있다.
- 해외의 반응은 비아이의 곡 중 가장 뜨겁다. 당장에 거의 1년 먼저 발매한 해변 (illa illa)보다도 스포티파이 총 스트리밍 수가 높다. 결과적으론 국내의 반응과는 별개로 세계적인 기준에선 B.I의 최고 히트곡인 셈이다.[6]
- 댄스 퍼포먼스 영상이 해외에서 화제가 되며 무려 7000만 조회수를 돌파했다. 이 덕분에 해외 수많은 차트에서 역주행을 이루어내며 B.I의 최고 히트곡이 되었다. 현재까지도 B.I의 Spotify 총 스트리밍 수 1위의 곡으로, 아시아를 넘어 유럽, 북미, 심지어 아프리카에서도 큰 인기를 이끌어냈다.[7]
