Singular: Act II의 수록곡들은 이번 앨범을 통해 다양한 감정을 표현할 수 있는 다양한 리듬과 비트로, 인생에서 직면하게 될 또 다른 문제에 초점을 맞추고 있는 앨범이다.

앨범이 발매되고 나서 리뷰들이 쏟아졌는데, 대부분은 긍정적인 리뷰가 많았다. 우선 아피니티, 올뮤직에서 각각 5점만점에 5점, 3.5점을 부여했고, 이때 아피니티는 아마도 올해 최고의 앨범 중 하나일거라고 극찬을 하였다.[3]

또한 Album of the Year에서는 유저스코어에서 100점 만점 70점을 기록하며, 수록곡 "In My Bed"가 가장 많은 호평을 받았다.

아마존에서는 5점 만점에 4.8점을 기록했다. 별 5개를 부여한 유저는 85%, 4개를 부여한 유저는 10%로 좋은 기록을 거두었다.

그러나 혹평도 존재하는데, 대표적으로 Rate Your Music에선 5점 만점 2.8점을 부여받았다. 이유는 앨범 수록곡들이 아리아나 그란데의 5집 thank u, next와 비슷한 느낌이 나는 노래들이 많기 때문이라고 한다. 또한 아리아나 그란데 외에도 테일러 스위프트, 카밀라 카베요, 할시 등 여러 유명 아티스트의 노래들을 베낀 느낌이 난다고 밝혔다.
